MIMICS Web Interfaces for Central Banks System Overview

MIMICS has programmed and deployed a broad range of web-based solutions for financial institutions, including Central Banks. MIMICS customizes the look and content of the websites for each of our clients, but for many of the clients, we build upon a previously-programmed foundation. The following web-based solutions have been implemented for Central Bank clients.

Currency Management Web Portal

The MIMICS Currency Management Web Portal allows Commercial Banks in country to log on and electronically enter information regarding Currency (notes & coins) that they will be depositing to or withdrawing from the Central Bank. This information then flows into an approval queue in the Central Bank’s internal MIMICS Currency Management System.

Dormant Accounts Web Portal

The MIMICS Dormant Accounts Web Portal allows Commercial Banks in country to log on to submit their annual newly-dormant accounts. These are manually entered through a grid entry for low volume or uploaded through a spreadsheet for high volume. The information is validated by the website and then flows into an approval queue in the Central Bank’s internal MIMICS Dormant Accounts System.

Corporation Exchange Control Web Portal

For countries that maintain an Exchange Control policy, corporations may be required to submit information periodically to the Central Bank regarding foreign investments and foreign currency account activity. This information is submitted through the MIMICS Corporation Exchange Control Web Portal through spreadsheet uploads. The information will then flow through to the Central Bank’s internal MIMICS Exchange Control System.

Commercial Bank Exchange Control Web Portal

Similar to the Corporation Exchange Control, Commercial Banks may be required to submit information (in some cases daily) to the Central Bank. This information is submitted through the MIMICS Commercial Bank Exchange Control Web Portal through spreadsheet uploads, and then flows through to the Central Bank’s internal MIMICS Exchange Control System.
